Every Cup of Coffee Has a Story

Sourced from region surrounding Mt. Kenya, these beans were grown in rich red volcanic soils. This unique terroir allow local micro farms to produce high-quality crops with flavor profiles singular to this region. Our AA Plus Lenana was grown by smallholders - with an average of only 200 shrubs each - who delivered their freshly picked ripe cherries to cooperative wet mills. The cherries were subsequently disc pulped, fully fermended, washed, and sundried on elevated drying beds.

I'm a big fan of Kenya AA Plus Lenana

It's funny how I found out about these beans. I bought a Fresh Roast 800 from amazon. And with it was included free bag of beans. After roasting them, and maybe a dozen other types of beans, the "free" beans were my favorite. So I went back to amazon to see what type beans came with the Fresh Roast, and saw that they were Lenana. Which is why I have been buying them from you.

A Great Morning Coffee

This Kenya AA says it is a dark roast, but it compares nicely to store bought Medium roasts. It is a smooth brew which makes a perfect 1st cup of coffee of the day! Thank you to Blue Hummingbird for curating your thoughtful selection of coffees, and for roasting, grinding and delivering to my door, all on the same day! BHB is coffee heaven!
