You ordered coffee. Now you're wondering when it'll actually show up. Fair question. Here are the answers.
When do you fulfill orders?
Monday through Friday, between 9 and 11 am
If you order before 9 am on a weekday, your coffee typically ships the same day. Order after that or on a weekend, and it ships the next business day (Monday if you ordered over the weekend). Exceptions occurs if there is a shortage but we will communicate with you.
Why such a specific fulfillment window?
Because that's when the mail carrier (UPS/USPS/Fedex) picks up from our facility.
Our mail carrier arrives around 11 am each weekday. To make that day's pickup, orders need to be packed, labeled, and ready to go by then.
But there's also a quality reason: we roast in small batches throughout the week. After roasting, beans need 24–48 hours to degas (release trapped CO₂) before we can safely package and ship them. Our morning fulfillment window ensures the coffee in your box was roasted recently enough to be at peak freshness, but rested enough to ship without the bag inflating from gas release.
Translation: The schedule is built around the pickup time and getting you the freshest possible coffee.
Is my coffee freshly roasted?
Yes. Actually fresh, not "roasted sometime this month" fresh.
Every bag has a roast date printed on it—the actual day it was roasted, not a vague "best by" date.
We don't roast coffee and let it sit in a warehouse. We roast throughout the week in small batches and fulfill orders as they come in. What you receive was typically roasted within the past few days—a week at most. We are pretty good at forecasting.
Most specialty coffee is considered at its peak between 3–10 days after roasting. You're getting yours right at the beginning of that window.
What if I order on Friday afternoon?
It ships Monday morning.
You will get coffee that was likely roasted late in the week, still well within its prime window, packed and shipped by people who aren't burned out from working seven days straight.
Why don't you ship on weekends?
Because our roasting and fulfillment team deserves time off.
We could offer weekend fulfillment. Some companies do. But we've made a conscious choice to protect our team's time. Coffee is our livelihood, not our entire life. We're building a business that lasts, not one that burns out.
And honestly? We think you can taste the difference. When people show up rested and invested in what they're doing, it shows up in the details.
When will my order actually arrive?
Once we ship, delivery times depend on where you are:
-
Local/Regional (1–2 zones): 1–2 business days
-
National (3–5 zones): 2–5 business days
-
Expedited shipping: Available at checkout if you need it faster
Every order gets a tracking number so you know exactly where your coffee is.
For pickup/delivery, we typically do the following:
-
Pickup Order: we deliver the coffee to the store on Tuesday and Friday. It will be ready to be picked up on Wednesday or Saturday. The only exception is our Roastery since we prepare everything here.
-
Delivery: if you live close enough to qualify for delivery, we usually deliver on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Friday after 3 pm.
What if I'm almost out of coffee and need it ASAP?
Order early in the week, before 9 am. If you are local, you can pick up or send us a note.
We know that panic when you open the bag and realize there's only enough for one more cup. We've been there. Planning ahead helps, but if you're cutting it close, a Monday or Tuesday morning order is your best bet. Subscription plan is also available.
How do I know my coffee is actually fresh?
Check the roast date on your bag. It's printed right on the label.
We don't hide behind "best by" dates or vague freshness claims. The roast date tells you exactly when your coffee was roasted. If you want to know how fresh it is, you can see for yourself.
We roast throughout the week and ship orders shortly after. If you receive a bag and the roast date is more than two weeks old, something went wrong and we want to know about it.
What happens if my order is delayed or damaged?
Reach out. We'll make it right.
We ship thousands of orders and take care to package everything securely, beans in valve-sealed bags, packed to survive the journey. But sometimes things go wrong in transit. If your order is delayed, damaged, or lost, contact us and we'll fix it.
Do you offer same-day shipping?
No. And here's why that's actually better for you.
Same-day shipping sounds great in theory, but it often means coffee sitting in a fulfillment center, pre-packed and waiting. We'd rather roast your coffee this week and ship it tomorrow than roast it last month and ship it today.
Freshness beats speed. Every time.
